Fencing: common questions
How does fence linear footage work?
The homeowner taps each corner of the fence line on the satellite image of their lot. The linear feet update after every tap, and any corner can be dragged. Your per-foot rate does the rest.
Which fence types are included?
Three starter tiers — chain link, six-foot wood privacy, and vinyl or aluminium — with walk gates, driveway gates and old-fence removal as add-ons. Replace them with your own lines and rates.
What should a fence quotation include?
Linear feet, height and style, post type and spacing, how posts are set (concrete, depth), gates and hardware, removal of the old fence, who handles the utility locate and permit, cleanup, start date and warranty.
Is there a free fence calculator?
Yes — our fence calculator works out posts, rails, pickets, bags of concrete and typical cost from the length and height.
