Terms of Service

By signing up for or using SatelliteQuotes (“Service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll email you about material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.

SatelliteQuotes is a software-as-a-service tool that lets roofing and other property-services contractors embed an instant-quote widget on their website. The widget measures rooftops from satellite imagery, calculates pricing using rules you configure, captures customer leads, and sends notification emails.

Estimates produced by the widget are preliminary, based on remote-sensing measurements, and are not a binding quote. You — the contractor — are responsible for confirming pricing on-site before performing any work.

• You must provide accurate signup information and keep your contact email current.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, including securing your password.
• One account per business. You may invite teammates to receive lead notifications; full role-based access is coming.
• You may close your account at any time by emailing billing@satellitequotes.com.

New accounts get a 15-day free trial. After the trial ends, your embedded widget pauses until you subscribe to a paid plan. Subscription pricing, term, and renewal cadence are shown at checkout. You authorize us (through Stripe, our payment processor) to charge your card on the cadence you select.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellations stop future renewals; we don't pro-rate refunds for the current billing period.

When a homeowner submits the widget on your site, that submission becomes a “lead” in your dashboard. Leads include the homeowner's name, contact details, property address, measurement, and selected materials.

• You own your leads. We process them on your behalf as part of providing the Service. You can export them at any time.
• We don't sell leads. We never share your leads with other contractors or third parties for marketing.
• Comply with applicable law (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) when you contact homeowners. The widget collects an explicit consent checkbox by default.

You agree not to:

• Resell the Service to other contractors without a written reseller agreement.
• Embed the widget on websites you don't own or aren't authorized to operate.
• Use the Service to spam, harass, or contact people without lawful basis.
• Reverse-engineer the Service, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or probe for vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules — usually with a warning first, immediately if there's active abuse.

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Mapbox, Stripe, Resend), and rare events may temporarily disrupt the widget. If the widget is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to our fault, email support@satellitequotes.com and we'll credit your account.

SatelliteQuotes (software, design, brand) is ours. Your data (leads, pricing rules, branding, materials catalog) is yours. You grant us a limited license to host and process your data solely to provide the Service.

Estimates are approximate. Aerial measurement accuracy is typically within 5–8% of an on-site measurement, but the Service can produce errors. Always confirm on-site.

The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Either of us may terminate this agreement at any time. On termination, your widget pauses, your dashboard becomes read-only for 30 days, and then your data is deleted unless you ask us to export it first.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
